Delta expands winter service to Aspen

ATLANTA, Georgia ” Delta Air Lines will offer daily, nonstop service between its Atlanta hub and Aspen next winter, the airline announced Tuesday.

Delta Connection, operated by SkyWest Airlines, will operate the new flights serving the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport using the Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jet.

This past winter, the airline offered the Aspen-Atlanta nonstop service on Saturdays only, in February and March. Beginning Dec. 20, the service will be offered daily, with departures from Atlanta at 5:15 p.m., arriving in Aspen at 6:55 p.m. The flight out of Aspen will leave at 11:25 a.m., arriving in Atlanta at 4:40 p.m.

The timing of the flights is ideal to make connections both to and from Delta’s prime international connection points, according to Bill Tomcich, president of Stay Aspen Snowmass and the resort’s liaison to the airline industry.
