Dennis and Joyce Webb to the rescue

Dear Editor,

On July 20, I found myself stranded at Heathrow Airport in London, due to a British Airways strike, along with thousands of other travelers desperate to return home.

The stress of the event was, in my case, enhanced by an injury to my leg. Under normal circumstances I would say I am pretty much a “take charge person,” but I was totally overwhelmed.

A young couple came to my rescue, assisted and encouraged me. Without them I would most likely still be in London awaiting my return flight to Denver.

I will be forever thankful to kind new friends like your newspaper’s own Dennis Webb and his warm and charming wife, Joyce.

Grete Jansen
