‘Dirty Jobs’ TV show featuring Rifle has been pushed back

RIFLE ” A change of plan and that’s a dirty shame. People planning to tune in tomorrow to see Rifle grab some national exposure will now have to wait.

The “Dirty Jobs” segment featuring Rifle’s wastewater treatment plant that was scheduled for Tuesday night has been pushed back on the Discovery Channel schedule.

Sometime in October is the new tentative air date.

The city will be featured on the show “Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe.”

The show, “Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe,” will feature Rifle’s wastewater treatment plant and operator Dave Gallegos, who demonstrates the city’s sewer bypass and the “Monster Muffin” equipment that Gallegos shows the TV host how to clean.

The show’s producers were alerted to the idea by Rain for Rent branch manager Darren Flood.

Rowe reportedly said that this particular job was one of the nastiest he’d ever done.
