Donald passed away on July 31 in Henderson, N.C. from Alzheimer’s. He was 79.

He was born on Nov. 20, 1932 in Oil City, Penn. to Edmund and Clavotis McKinley. He moved to Glenwood Springs in 1979. He loved Glenwood. He enjoyed water and snow skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, sailing, camping and working in his yard. He retired as owner-operator of Roaring Fork Automotive. He spent his last four years in N.C. with his family who cared from him during his illness.

He was preceded in death by his step-mother who raised him, Rozelia McKinley.

He is survived by his son, Michael McKinley; daughters, Belinda London and Debby McKinley; sisters, Lynda Reimann and Beverly Ball; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A private service was held in Asheville by the river since Don loved the outdoors.
