Donna Jean Nye-Wise

Donna Wise, age 49, lost her longtime battle with Multiple Sclerosis Monday December 24th. Donna was born in Spearman, Texas, to Lawrence and Dorthy Nye.

Her family moved to Colorado in 1966. She grew up and went to school in Basalt, Colorado. She graduated from Basalt High School in 1982. Donna married Rodney Wise in 1991 and moved to Guthrie Center, Iowa. They have two children Chance and Ethan Wise both of Guthrie Center, IA.

Donna loved raising her appaloosa and miniature horses and enjoyed watching her boys horse shows.

Donna is survived by her sons Chance and Ethan Wise of Guthrie Center, IA. Her brother Donald Nye of El Jebel, CO, and sister Dianna (Tink) Nye of Glenwood Springs, CO. Her nana Alberta McGuire of Inola, OK, as well as numerous Aunts and Uncles and cousins of the Roaring Fork Valley and Oklahoma also her adopted sister Karen Rodowsky of Oxford N.H. and a adopted niece Cherie Rodowsky of Grand Junction, CO.

Donna was proceeded in death by her papa Marvin McGuire, mother Dorthy Wye, Grandfather Lauren (Buck) Nye, father Lawrence Nye, her aunt, Leota Patton and followed in death by Myrtle Nye her grandmother who passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012.
