Doris Ann Petrocco
Doris Ann Petrocco died peacefully at Family Health West in Fruita Colorado, on May 7, 2009. Doris was born in Lime Colorado, in Pueblo County, on November 10, 1927. She spent her early years in Marble where her father worked in the mill. Doris served honorably in the US Navy. After leaving the Navy, Doris spent the rest of her life as a Glenwood Springs resident. During this time, Doris helped raise her nephew Eddie Hogue and provided support and assistance to her aging parents. Doris was artistic, belonging to the Art Guild for many years. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Elena Petrocco, sisters Irene Petrocco and Rosie Messmer, and brother Victor Petrocco.
Doris is survived by siblings Ercole Petrocco of Glenwood Springs, John (Mary) Petrocco of New Orleans LA, Mary Jane (Ernie) Noto of Glenwood Springs and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on May 13 at 10 a.m. at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, with Father Cliff McMillan officiating. No other services are planned.
