Doris Haber

Doris Haber passed away Feb. 5 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., on July 8, 1925, to David Gordich and Gussie Hersh.She was married to Howard Haber.She was a bookkeeper for Hudson Glass Co. in Peekskill, N.Y., and was a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital.Survivors include son Alan (Beth) Haber of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; daughter Sandra “Sandy” Haber of Glenwood Springs; sister Bella Berely of DelRay Beach, Fla.; grandchildren Sarah and Andrew Mogol, Zev and Melissa Haber, Michaela Haber, and Daniel Bradley; grandchildren Sophia Ellis Mogol, Lucy Rebecca Haber; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, and by son Davis S. Haber.Services will take place at noon Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the chapel at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, N.Y. A shiva will be held at a private residence. Rabbi Paul Columb will officiate. Interment will take place at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, N.Y.
