Downtown gas line testing from 9 to 5 on Monday

Grand Avenue bridge crews and Black Hills Energy personnel on Monday will replace a temporary Glenwood Springs gas line with a permanent line located on Seventh Street.

Several gas tests will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and gas odors are possible in the downtown area through the day.

Glenwood Springs Fire Department and city dispatchers have been notified and will be working together to receive updates on gas testing progress.

Black Hills Energy techs will also be in the area during this time to field service calls. If you smell gas, call the bridge project public information line at 970-618-9897.
