Dr. Charles A. Graves of Glenwood Springs died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at his home. He was 67.He was born Nov. 22, 1934, in St. Louise, Mo., to Harlan and Susan Godfrey Graves. He grew up in Normandy, Mo., and graduated from Normandy High School.He was a Korean War vet who served in the U.S. Army from 1954-56.He attended Logan Chiropractic College in Chesterfield, Mo., where he earned a doctorate in chiropractic.He lived for the past 41 years in Glenwood Springs, where he owned a chiropractic clinic.Dr. Graves was a member of the Elks Club and the Colorado Chiropractic Association. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and treating his patients.He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Graves, in 1996.He is survived by sons Keith Graves of Littleton and Eric Graves of Broomfield; brothers Robert Graves of Tempe, Ariz., Loren Graves and Harlan Graves of Denver; sisters Charlotte Poplowski of Aurora, Ill., and Dorothy Graves of Fullerton, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.A memorial celebration of Dr. Graves’ life will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at Farnum Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge No. 2286, 51939 Highway 6 & 24, in Glenwood Springs.Memorial contributions may be made to LIFT-UP, 2306 Blake Ave., Glenwood Springs, CO 81601, or to Roaring Fork Hospice, P.O.
