Dr. Robert ‘Bob’ Oden

Dr. Robert R. Oden, 85, of Captiva, Fla., and Aspen, died peacefully May 18, 2008, at his home on Captiva. He will be missed by his family and his many patients and friends. Born in Chicago, he is survived by his wife, Nancy; children Lisbeth Oden, Louise Edwards, Boyd Edwards and Beach (Katy) Edwards; grandchildren Zackary Robert Oden and Kaela and Aubrey Edwards; nephew William Bohman; and niece Deborah Crawford. He was preceded in death by his sister Constance Flenner. In lieu of flowers, please commemorate his life and favorite project by contributing to either The Aspen Sports Medicine Foundation, 100 E. Main St., Aspen, CO 81611; or to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 27, at Harris Concert Hall, located next to the Benedict Music Tent on the corner of Third and Gillespie in Aspen.
