Drinking awareness show thanks

Dear Editor,

We want to thank everyone involved in KMTS’s 5th annual Drinking Awareness Show. First of all, thank you to our brave drinkers Brian Bark, Tim Peterson and Ken Robinson. Without them there would be no show at all. Glenwood Springs Officer Jeremy Ownbey and State Trooper Eric Miller were an incredible source of information to our listening audience and we appreciate them taking time from their day to help us reach out to the community with important information. We also want to thank our listeners for their feedback and response to the KMTS St. Patrick’s Day Drinking Awareness Show.

KGLN 980 AM was in new territory with this year’s drinking awareness program. Ernesto Leon and Randy Smith were very helpful and we thank you both very much. The information that was provided to our Spanish-speaking listeners was incredible and we thank Officer Dan Bowen from Carbondale PD and Officer Jose Valdez from Silt PD.

Finally, a very special thank-you to our sponsors who make this program possible: Roaring Fork Liquors, River’s Restaurant and Coors. Coors has made this program possible for the past five years and we thank them for their commitment to making the public aware of drinking and driving issues.

If we have made even one person aware of the dangers of drinking and driving, and we have saved even one life, it was well worth it.
