Driving miscreant held on $5,000 bond

A word to the wise, courtesy of the Glenwood Springs police: If youre already wanted on two warrants, reckless driving may not be the best way to keep a low profile.At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Glenwood Springs officers arrested Sergio Gutierrez, 18, of Edwards on suspicion of drunken driving and a laundry list of traffic offenses, not to mention two outstanding warrants.The police spotted Gutierrezs vehicle allegedly peel out and fish-tail onto Highway 6 & 24 in West Glenwood. Police stopped his vehicle and noted signs of intoxication.Gutierrez was charged on suspicion of possession of alcohol by an underage person, drunk driving, driving while under restraint from a previous drunk driving charge, careless driving and failing to provide immediate proof of insurance. Police allege that he also had two outstanding warrants for criminal impersonation and drunken driving. Gutierrez was arrested and is being held in the Garfield County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
