Eagles seeking a little help for the feast

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado – The Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 215 is gearing up for its annual free Thanksgiving holiday feast, and Eagles trustee Dan Holley said on Friday that there are plenty of volunteers and food ready to go.

The only thing lacking right now is a little cash, he said.

“We are looking for financial gifts for repairs and maintenance of our kitchen,” Holley explained, pointing to a broken refrigerator, an incapacitated ice maker, and a washroom in need of appliances.

Donations can be made in person at the Eagles Club, 312 7th St., or by mailing a check to P.O. Box 1042, Glenwood Springs, 81602.

The feast is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day.
