Eastbound I-70 at Glenwood Canyon re-opened

GLENWOOD SPRINGS – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 in the Glenwood Canyon were closed earlier due to several accidents, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation

The closures occurred about 3:26 p.m. and lasted for about 45 minutes.

According to CDOT’s website cotrip.org, multiple accidents, and a multi-vehicle accident blocked eastbound lanes of I-70 at Glenwood Springs. The lanes were reopened by about 5:30.



No further information, regarding the accidents, was available from the Colorado State Patrol at this time.
