Easter Sunday worship schedule

Masons sunrise service

The Glenwood Commandery will hold its traditional Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday at the Masonic building, 901 Colorado Ave, Glenwood Springs, with the Rev. William Brown presiding. Pancake breakfast will follow the service. Public welcome.

Mountain view church

Mountain View Church Easter Sunday worship services will reflect “Easter Morning Attitudes.” Early worship is at 9 a.m., fellowship and refreshments at 10:15, and 10:45 late worship. The church is 1.5 miles south of Glenwood Springs next to Buffalo Valley restaurant.

HOly Cross lutheran

Holy Cross Lutheran Church will hold Easter Sunday service at 8 a.m. Breakfast to follow the service.

St. Barnabas Services

St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Hyland Park and Blake Avenue, Glenwood Springs, will offer Easter Sunday Holy Eucharist, 8 and 10 a.m.

First United Methodist

First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs will offer two Easter worship services and Easter brunch and an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday: 8 a.m. Early Worship Service; 9:15 a.m. Easter Brunch. Please bring a dish to share and your own table service. 9:45 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt; 10:30 a.m. Worship Service.

catholic celebrations

The tri-parish communities of St. Mary in Rifle, St. Brendan in Parachute, and Sacred Heart in Silt will commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ at 7:30 a.m., Sacred Heart, Silt; 7:30 a.m., St. Mary, Rifle, y en Espanol, 8 a.m., and English Mass at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

Holy Cross services

Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 62 County Road 135, West Glenwood, will hold Easter Sunday service at 8 a.m.

United methodist services

Carbondale Community United Methodist Church will hold Easter Sunday sunrise service at 6 a.m. in the field south of the Heuschkel house, 0164 Thomas Road south of Carbondale. Breakfast follows at 7 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m. followed by an Easter Egg Hunt in the churchyard.

Baptist services

Grand River Baptist Church, 126 N. 4th St., New Castle, will hold Easter Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. For more information call 984-2349.

Congregational Church services

The Congregational Church of the Valley will hold a community sunrise Easter Sunday service at 6:30 a.m. at the New Castle Cemetery, sponsored by the Congregational Church of the Valley. The service will be followed by a pancake breakfast at 8 am. at the church at 6th and Home in Silt. The 10:30 a.m. Easter Sunday service will include chancel and bell choirs.

Marble Community Church services

Services at 10 a.m. Easter Sunday will be led by Linda Arocha Boylan. Becky Macuen will be the organist.

Presbyterians meet

Worship service at the First Presbyterian Church of Glenwood Springs, 1016 Cooper Ave., is at 10 a.m. every Sunday. The men’s Easter morning breakfast is from 8-9:30 a.m. An adult study group meets every Sunday at 9 a.m.
