New Hope Church is holding a 7:30 a.m. SonRise service Easter Sunday, followed by 9 a.m. brunch and 10 a.m. celebration service. New Hope Church meets at Coal Ridge High School. For more information, call 984-2656.
On Easter Sunday, April 24, The Orchard – Church at Carbondale will offer two celebrations at the church at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

The First Presbyterian Church at 1016 Cooper St. in Glenwood Springs is holding several Easter week services.
First is a Maundy Thursday service from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21. There will be a lamb dinner and communion, followed by a brief Passion Week drama, performed by “The Covenant Players.”
There will be a Good Friday service from 12:15 – 12:45 p.m. Friday, April 22.
On Easter, there will be a complimentary pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and a service at 10 a.m. followed by an Easter egg hunt.

Mountain View Church invites everyone to join them at 9:15 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 24, for an Easter Egg Hunt for children through elementary school age and food and fellowship for everyone, followed by the worship service at 10 a.m. Child care is provided for infants through age 3, and special age-appropriate programs dismiss mid-service for children ages 4 through fifth grade. The First United Methodist Church at 824 Cooper Ave. in Glenwood Springs will be holding the following Easter services:
On Thursday, April 21, there will be a service of Communion and Hand or Foot Washing starting at 7 p.m. in Bethel Chapel.
On Good Friday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m., Sounds of Praise will present an Easter Concert, “The King Is Coming,” in the sanctuary.
On Easter Sunday, April 24, there will be an 8 a.m. Early Service in Bethel Chapel followed by a 9 a.m. pot luck breakfast in Fellowship Hall and a 9:45 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt for the children. There will be a 10:30 a.m. Easter Service in the sanctuary.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church in West Glenwood Springs will have its Maundy Thursday Service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, its Good Friday Tenebrae Service at 7 p.m. on Friday and its Easter Sunday Service at 9 a.m. on Sunday followed by Easter breakfast for the homeless from 10:15 – 11:30 a.m. We are located right off of Highway 6 at 0062 County Road 135, just east of Burger King. Maundy Thursday, April 21, 7 p.m. (a service with Passover Seder echoes, celebrating Jesus’ gift of Communion and his command to love as he loved us).
Good Friday, April 22, noon (a meditative service contemplating the Passion of Jesus Christ according to John’s Gospel).
Good Friday, April 22, 7 p.m. (a service steeped in the mystery of Christ reigning from the cross, and including prayers for the whole world).
Saturday Vigil of Easter, April 23, 7 p.m. (a service of anticipation, celebrating God’s light shining in the darkness throughout the stories of scripture and renewal of baptism).
Easter Sunday, April 24, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (a joyous celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, with Communion and full choir at both services).

The wildland fire that started Friday afternoon in Snowmass Canyon is under control and contained Saturday evening after more than a dozen firefighters worked Saturday to douse the wildland fire that was ignited by a lightning strike.
