Edgar preliminary hearing set for Feb. 14

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado – Ninth Judicial District Judge James Boyd set a preliminary hearing for Feb. 14 in the felony drug case against medical marijuana dispensary owner David M. Edgar of Basalt.

Edgar is accused of selling medical marijuana and cocaine illegally from his dispensary in Carbondale to undercover agents of the Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Task Force (TRIDENT). He faces eight felony charges.

According to police, the TRIDENT officers purchased medical marijuana at Edgar’s Mother Earth dispensary without presenting a medical marijuana registration card.



Edgar currently is free on $25,000 bond.
