Edith Sylvia Letey

Edith Sylvia Letey of Glenwood Springs died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Glen Valley Care Center in Glenwood Springs. She was 91.

She was born March 21, 1911, in Glenwood Springs to Josephine Perry and Pantalion Glassier.

She married Oliver John Letey in November 1934 in Aspen. He preceded her in death.

She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Letey is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Alice and John Bershenyi of Glenwood Springs and Celia and Paul Nieslanik of Carbondale; by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Kelly Grange; by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. tonight at St. Mary’s of the Crown Catholic Church in Carbondale.

A funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at St. Mary’s of the Crown Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Hehn officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.
