Edna Madge Stutsman
Edna Madge Stutsman of Aspen Village died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale. She was 91.
She was born July 19, 1911, in Palisade to Mary Elizabeth and Samuel Richmond Carnahan.
She attended school in Palisade.
She married Elmer Stutsman on Aug. 19, 1931. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1993.
The Stutsmans ranched in Emma and on West Sopris Creek.
In 1966, they moved to Aspen, where Mrs. Stutsman worked as an assistant cook at Aspen Valley Hospital. They retired to Aspen Village in 1977.
Mrs. Stutsman is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dolores Stutsman; by grandsons and granddaughters-in-law Richard Jr. and JoAnna Stutsman, and David Stutsman; by granddaughters and grandsons-in-law Julie and Dexter Garner, and Lisa and Mark Thorpe; and by great-grandchildren Shay, Dusty and Jyace Stutsman, Darren Garner and Trey Thorpe.
There will be no public service.
Farnum Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
