Caitlin L. Johnson, daughter of Kari Johnson of Rifle, was named to the spring 2009 dean’s list at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn. The dean’s list includes full-time students with a semester grade point average of 3.65 (out of 4.0) or higher. Johnson is majoring in interdisciplinary studies at Northwestern.
Mackenzie Michelle Miller of New Castle made the Seattle Pacific University 2009 winter quarter dean’s list. She completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.50 or higher grade point average.
Anna Alcorn, daughter of Bebe Byrd, graduated summa cum laude from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with an emphasis on sustainability.
Anna’s grandmother Kay and Aunt Katy along with her mom and many friends helped her celebrate this great milestone. Anna was a 2004 Rifle High graduate.
Sara A. Kurz, of Carbondale, daughter of Jonathan and Ronda Kurz of Basalt, and a 2005 graduate of Basalt High School, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English – creative writing. She also made the dean’s list for the spring semester by maintaining at least a 3.5 grade point average.
