Elizabeth Lucy Williams

Elizabeth Lucy Williams of Glenwood Springs died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at her home. She was 92.

She was born Dec. 20, 1910, in Eagle County to Bridie L. Shively and Lewis W. King.

She married Arthur Irving Williams on Oct. 19, 1939, in Eagle. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Williams was a caregiver to everyone. She was a lifetime resident of the area.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Mary and Henry Hansen of Grass Valley, Calif., and Judith and Bill Blakeslee of Glenwood Springs; by a brother, Kenneth King of Prescott, Ariz.; by sisters Edith King of Grand Junction, and Eliza Bridenbaugh of Parachute; by grandchildren Nellie Kuersten, David and Melanie Davis, Doug and Jackie Davis, Lori and Paul Kindall, Cynthia and Lincoln McNey, and Penny and Nathan Merrill; and by 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and at Mrs. Williams’ request, no services will be held.

Farnum Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Roaring Fork Hospice or Colorado Animal Rescue.
