Elma Meisner Mead, 89, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born Jan. 26, 1921 in Silt, Colorado to Henry Meisner and Mary Schreiner Meisner. She was Christian by faith.

Predeceased by husband of 59 years, Verner D. Mead; son Donn Mead; brothers Albert Meisner and wife Ruth and Robert Meisner; sister-in-law, Irma Meisner; brother-in-law, Loren Mead and wife Betty; brother-in-law, Roger Mead.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Bill Miles of Hot Springs; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Dawn and Mark Tyler of Hot Springs, Tina and Christian Funderburg of Little Rock; two great-grandsons Seth Tyler and Cody Tyler of Hot Springs; two great-granddaughters Larkin Funderburg and Haven Funderburg of Little Rock; brothers Bud Meisner of Rifle, Colorado, Don Meisner and wife, Natalie of Arizona City, Arizona, Bill Meisner and wife Sally of Houston, Texas; sisters-in-law Mary Jane Mead of Rifle, Colorado and Lucille Mead of Grand Junction, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews.



Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, AR with Reverend Bob Clark officiating.
