Elsie Eloise Nicholson Tupper

Elsie Eloise Nicholson Tupper, of Glenwood Springs, Colo., died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002. She was 76.

She was born Aug. 31, 1926, in Carson, Iowa, to Elsie Curts and Lee Nicholson. She grew up in Carson and graduated from high school there.

She married Keith Tupper on June 17, 1945. They lived in Oakland, Iowa.



Mrs. Tupper moved to Glenwood Springs in 1988.

She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers and birdwatching. She was a homemaker.



Mrs. Tupper was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Tupper; and sons Don Tupper, Terry Tupper and Roger Tupper.

She is survived by son Dwayne Tupper, of Medford, Ore.; daughter Debbi Stovie, of Omaha, Neb.; brother Stanley Nicholson, of Los Angeles, Calif.; sisters Geri Brown, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Wilda Bergren, of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Glenwood Springs, with the Rev. Nina Stasser officiating.

Farnum Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Church or to LIFT-UP.
