VAIL ” A Vail Resorts employee died around midnight Monday after she was found unconscious at the top of Vail Mountain late Sunday, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Alicia White, 29, of Jamaica, worked and lived at Two Elk Lodge, where she was found not breathing Sunday night, authorities said.

Ski Patrol was giving CPR to White about 11 p.m., when sheriff’s deputies were told of the emergency, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Ski Patrol took White down Vail Mountain and to an ambulance. She was pronounced dead at Vail Valley Medical Center, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The cause of death is under investigation until an autopsy is done sometime in the next couple of days, authorities said.

So far, nothing suspicious has been found in White’s death, the Sheriff’s Office said.

White was healthy and had no medical history, Eagle County Coroner Kara Bettis said.

“We’re not really sure what happened with her,” Bettis said.

Sitting at an elevation of 11,220 feet, Two Elk Lodge is on a ridge between China Bowl and some expert terrain on Vail’s front side.
