Employee, his mother arrested for shoplifting

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. A Target employee and his mother were arrested Tuesday after the two allegedly teamed up to shoplift merchandise.Sandra Anchondo-Acosta, 34, of Glenwood Springs and her 16-year-old son were both issued municipal court summonses for petty theft charges.Glenwood Springs police chief Terry Wilson said the son helped Anchondo-Acosta steal merchandise on more than one occasion.”Mom would come through with a bunch of items and the son would scan them through and then void a bunch of them,” Wilson said.The two are accused of stealing a total of about $193 in goods.Wilson said he had no indication whether Anchondo-Acosta forced her son to participate.
