Encore! Encore! ‘Desperate Affection’ is back

CARBONDALE – Back by popular demand, Thunder River Theatre Company’s successful spring production of “Desperate Affection” returns for three encore performances.”If you already saw the play, you know the fun you had – give it a second go ’round,” said founding artistic director Lon Winston, in a press statement. “Bring friends and share the joy of Bruce Graham’s comic gem.”The suspense-comedy stars Winston as Richard, the “perfect man,” and TRTC co-founder Valerie Haugen, as Maddie, a New York City actress with a quirky sense of humor. Maddie learns Richard has a fatal flaw that may ultimately ruin the couple’s four month-long relationship. “Desperate Affection” runs for three nights, Aug. 11-13.
