Enrique Pacheco

Enrique Pacheco of Rifle died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003. He was 79.

He was born May 14, 1923, in Llano, N.M., to Benjamin and Francisca Leyba Pacheco.

Mr. Pacheco served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946.



He married Edumenia Romero on Feb. 23, 1946, in Vadito, N.M.

Mr. Pacheco worked as a zinc miner.



He loved hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.

Mr. Pacheco is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Edumenia Pacheco of Rifle; by sons and daughters-in-law Henry and Naomi Pacheco, Jose and Karin Pacheco, Anthony and Roxanne Pacheco, Arnold and Eva Pacheco, and Christopher and Juanita Pacheco; by daughters and sons-in-law Frances and Ron Parkenin, Josie and Clarence Medina, Elizabeth Pacheco, Genevieve and Ruben Valdez, and Vicky and Tim Comroe; by 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. tonight, Feb. 12, at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 Access Road.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cliff McMillan officiating.

Pallbearers will be Clarence Medina Jr., Edward Medina, Raul Pacheco, Reinalso Pacheco, John James Arguello, Sebastian Pacheco and Carlos Arguello.

Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Rifle.
