Entertainer to return to county libraries

The Summer Reading Program, “Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds,” continues at the Garfield County Library branches with free weekly entertainment during the week of June 21, with Peter Davison, who will return to astonish his audience with a mixture of juggling, acting and dance. Davison has performed at Summer Reading in the past and is always a top-notch showman, whether he is riding his unicycle, drumming and juggling, or demonstrating his proficiency with a lariat.

Times and locations for Davison’s programs are as follows: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Carbondale Town Hall; 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in the Glenwood Library basement; 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the New Castle Community Center; 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Silt Community Center; 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at Bea Underwood Elementary School, Battlement Mesa; and 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at That Place, Rifle.

The weekly shows are free and open to all ages. Children may also sign up to win prizes for achieving reading goals.
