Essay contest for free hearing aids

Rocky Mountain Audiology and Dr. Daria Stakiw have teamed up to donate a free pair of hearing instruments to one person in the community.

“This is our way of giving back, and a great opportunity to significantly change the life of someone living in a world of silence,” Stakiw said.

To participate in the Gift of Hearing program, submit an essay of 400 or fewer words describing why you or someone you know would benefit from receiving a pair of hearing devices.

The winner of the Gift of Hearing program will be selected based on the following:

• Hearing need.

• Financial need.

• Opportunity to impact recipient’s life.

• Opportunity to impact the lives of people with whom they interact.

The contest runs from Nov. 1 through Dec. 15. The winner will be notified by Dec. 21.

Submit essays via e-mail to or by mail to: 1607 Grand Ave. Suite 21, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601.
