Eugene William Rael

Eugene William Rael, of Lakewood, Colo., died March 15, 2002, in Westminster, Colo. He was 80.

Mr. Rael was born May 20, 1921, in Avondale, Colo. He served in the air force and in World War II was stationed in England rebuilding airplanes. He received the good conduct medal and the outstanding unit award.

He was a member of VFW and AARP.



Mr. Rael is survived by: sons Eugene F. Rael, of Broomfield, Colo., Howard P. Rael, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sean J.S. Wolfe, of Lakewood, Colo.; daughters Karen L. Langfield, of Arvada, Colo., Jeri A. Adams, of Westminster, and Shannon D. Voorheis, of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; sister Rose Olivas, of Avondale; brother Ernest Rael, of Avondale; 18 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A rosary was held March 19. A funeral mass was held March 20 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial took place at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
