Evacuation order lifted

An evacuation order has been lifted after a natural gas line break near the Ironbridge Golf Course between Glenwood Springs and Carbondale.At 10:07 a.m., the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District was dispatched to the report of a large gas leak from a 12-inch gas line located on 109 Road opposite mile marker 6 on Highway 82, on the south side of the Roaring Fork River. No injuries or fire were reported.At 2 p.m. Kinder Morgan reported they had the main gas line valves on 109 Road near CMC shut off, and repairs have commenced.The evacuation order was cancelled for the Ironbridge subdivision and nearby areas.
