Everett Romero

Everett Eloy Romero, 57, passed away March 14, 2009, at Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah.

He was born Dec. 11, 1951, in Rifle, to Frank and Tina Martinez Romero.

He married Darlene Franco Dec. 15, 1976, in Helper, Utah.



Everett was a 1969 graduate of Rifle High School.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm.



He was a member of the Price American Legion Post 3, VFW MIners Post 2379 and the Cottonwood Elks Lodge in Murray, Utah.

Everett worked in various coal mines while living in Colorado and Utah, and worked as a nurse at Castle Country Care Center in Price after his mining career.

Everett shard a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and especially enjoyed fishing, golfing and riding his motorcycle with family and friends.

He loved cooking and listening to music. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife; daughter Cristal Marie Romero; sons Mark (Tammy) Franco, and Gabriel (Amy) Romero; grandchildren Justice Franco, Romio Romero and Cynthia Franco, all of Price; brothers Frank Romero of Rifle and Danny Romero of Denver; sisters Helen Jamison of Oregon, Arlene House of Rifle and Verna Sandy of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Leo Romero.

A funeral service and interment were held March 19 in Utah.
