Festivities continue throughout holiday weekend

Caroling and lighting the community Christmas Tree, 5 p.m. today at the Glenwood Springs chamber, 1102 Grand Ave. Santa will be at the Hotel Colorado for the holiday lighting extravaganza in the courtyard at 7 p.m. -Redstone’s Grand Illumination, today. Redstone Church Bazaar from 1-7 p.m., photos with Santa from 4-5 p.m., lighting the community Christmas tree at 5:15 p.m. and a bonfire and caroling at 5:30 p.m. Call 963-8240 for details.-A Holiday Bazaar will be held in Rifle at 515 W. Second, on Saturday Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be gifts, ornaments, baked goods and more.-Saturday, Nov. 30: Santa and refreshments at the pedestrian mall, provided by Alpine Bank from 1-3 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Caroling by the Glenwood Springs Elementary School Choir, 1-2 p.m. At 6 p.m. Santa returns to the pedestrian mall for caroling by Cadet Troop 274 and Mountain Harmony; aerial fireworks at 7:45 p.m.-The town of Silt’s annual arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Silt Fire Station, 611 Main St. Silt Ambulance will serve refreshments and all proceeds will be donated to Silt elementary students for safety materials.-The Silt Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual holiday party at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Miner’s Claim Restaurant in Silt. Cocktails and appetizers at 6. Five-course dinner, entertainment, and door prizes. Special recognition of charter members. Lots of laughter, awards, and tons of door prizes.
