BRECKENRIDGE ” Police were not releasing further details on a bus accident that killed an Iraq veteran as of Monday morning.

Colorado National Guard Capt. Lynn Scutellaro, a 28-year-old helicopter pilot who finished a tour in Iraq last November, was struck and killed by a Breckenridge Trolley bus on Saturday evening.

Breckenridge Police spokesperson Crystal Dean said that the department called in Colorado State Patrol to head up the investigation, and further information, such as the bus driver’s name, wouldn’t be released until the investigation is complete.

“Everybody is trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle of what took place,” Dean said.

Scutellaro lived in Evergreen, but was staying in her parent’s condominium in Breckenridge over the weekend.

The Town of Breckenridge operates the bus system.
