Vote-counters in the Garfield County Clerk & Recorder’s Office worked a late night Tuesday. Final election results weren’t completed until 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, an hour past the Post Independent’s press deadline.However, the overall results reported in Wednesday’s paper have not changed.Trsi Houpt, a Glenwood Springs Democrat, ousted Republican incumbent Walt Stowe of Glenwood Springs for the District 1 Garfield County commissioner seat.Lou Vallario, a Glenwood Springs Republican, ousted Democrat incumbent Tom Dalessandri of Carbondale, in the race for Garfield County sheriff.Incumbent Garfield County Treasurer Georgia Chamberlain, a Carbondale Democrat, was re-elected to her fifth term in office, winning against challenger Cheryl Chandler, a Silt Republican.Incumbent state Rep.
