Fine swine up for auction

In the past six months, 15 artistically painted and decorated, larger-than-life swine have traveled the Western Slope to various community events, parades and fairs. Now, the well-known and much-loved Alpine Bank “Swines” are being auctioned off for charity.The auction started Sept. 15 through eBay and will end on Oct. 31. Interested bidders can go to http://www.alpinebank.com to link directly to the auction. All proceeds will benefit local literacy agencies and programs in Alpine Bank communities.Alpine Bank’s Alpine Swines – Project for Literacy has received a tremendous response not only from children, but adults and pig collectors as well. Artists from the Western Slope designed and decorated the 15 pigs.
