Fire team thankful for local support
Dear Editor,
On behalf of Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team B, I would like to extend our appreciation to the citizens of New Castle and Garfield County for their tremendous support offered throughout the Spring Creek Incident. It takes the coordinated effort of many entities to successfully carry out fire operations, not to mention the patience and understanding of the public at large.
We understand that the presence of additional equipment and people in a small community has an impact. However, the use of the Riverside School made our support of the firefighters much easier to manage.
Again, on behalf of our fire team, I would like to thank you.
Sincerely,
Dave Sisk
Incident commander
