The International Ski Federation (FIS) announced Sunday that the World Cup alpine ski races slated for Nov. 27-30 at Copper Mountain have been confirmed following a positive snow control.

“Powered by the latest @hkdsnowmakers fan and tower guns, our mountain operations team has taken full advantage of the cold temperatures to produce top-to-bottom snow coverage, painting the mountain white for the Audi FIS World Cup racecourse, alpine training venues, and public terrain,” a post on the Stifel Copper Cup Instagram page stated on Sunday.

The four-day event begins Nov. 27 with a men’s super-G. The men race a slalom the following day, followed by women’s giant slalom and slalom on Nov. 29 and Nov. 30, respectively. The races are free to attend, but there are VIP passes and grandstand tickets available as well. All races take place in Copper’s East Village and finish on Rosi’s Run. The event replaces the Killington World Cup races for 2025 and is the only women’s World Cup stop in the U.S. during the 2025-2026 season.

Snow controls are conducted 10 days prior to the official arrival day for speed events and seven days ahead of technical races or series. The purpose is to determine whether venues have sufficient snow to safely stage competitions. In most cases, a negative snow control results in cancellation.
