Why did you come out to the classic car show? We enjoy doing it.How did you end up getting this car? I told my wife I’d build one for her. This is actually her car. We love ’57s. I had one when I was in the service. She picked out the color – actually, it’s two different colors. There’s not another car with this color on it. When did you get the Chevy? Three years ago. I finished it a couple of months ago. What kind of work did you do on it? Everything. I bought it for two grand and it did run but the engine was no good. I re-did everything but the interior.

How much was that worth? I’ve got over $20,000 in it without labor. It appraised for $41,000. With labor, I figure that’s what I’ve got in it.Does it have a nickname? No. Not this one. I’m not going to build any more cars. … The joke is this is the fourth car we’ve had that license plate on. (The license plate says “Last 1”).Post Independent, Glenwood Springs Colorado CO
