Flohr and Ciani combine for 47 points as Demons blast Warriors

Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

Kevin Flohr poured in 24 points and Nick Ciani had 23 as Glenwood Springs’ boys basketball team scored a 74-57 win over visiting Grand Junction Central on Tuesday.

Collin Porterfield and Willy Pelland added eight points apiece for the Demons, who hit 25 of 27 free throws while improving to 2-1.

Kenzie Kuhn’s 18 points led Glenwood’s girls to a 55-21 rout of Grand Junction Central on Tuesday.

Connor Adams chipped in with 12 points, McKenzie Nelson-Buehler nine and Lexie Warkentin eight as the Demons ran their record to 3-0 on the young season.

Ashlie Bowles poured in a team-high 14 points as Coal Ridge’s girls topped visiting Battle Mountain, 62-36, on Tuesday.

The Titans outscored the Huskies by a 32-15 count in the second half to land a victory in their season opener.

Carly Cloninger chipped in with 11 points for Coal Ridge. Chasity Gonzales scored eight.

Misha Harrison led Battle Mountain with 14 points. Keely Graskamp chipped in with 12.
