Folk fans, head to Winter Park

WINTER PARK – Today through Sunday, the fourth annual Winter Park Folk Festival is best described as a “homegrown-grassroots fest with a diverse and eclectic lineup of musicians.”

Free performances at Hideaway Park in downtown Winter Park feature music by the Drew Emmitt Band, James McMurtry, Kathleen Edwards, Cary Hudson (of Blue Mountain), Slaid Cleaves, Blue Mother Tupelo, Chris Masterson (of Son Volt) and Eleanor Whitmore (of Slaid Cleaves), The Dreamsicles, Jami Lunde Band and Sweet Sunny South.

Good Night Folk Shows at the Winter Park Pub feature the Drew Emmitt Band today and Great American Taxi, featuring Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon, Saturday. Tickets are available by calling (970) 726-4929.
