Former Daily Bread building vandalized

A vandal has broken a window of the building that housed the recently closed Daily Bread restaurant in downtown Glenwood Springs. However, the perpetrator apparently didn’t enter the building, Glenwood Springs police chief Terry Wilson said Saturday.”It just looks like somebody pitched something through the window,” he said.He hadn’t yet seen the report on the incident and didn’t know what might have been used to break the window. He said the incident apparently occurred Friday night. The Daily Bread had been a popular downtown institution for more than 20 years. Owner Nicky Brouillette closed it in November 2005. Brouillette does not own the building.
