Fran George went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 in Carbondale, Colorado She was 79 years young.

Aunt Fran was born on Cattle Creek in Glenwood Springs, Colo. She enjoyed life in San Rafael, California working with Westinghouse as Secretary and raising her son Michael. She moved to Glenwood in 1987 “to live out the rest of her days.” Aunt Fran loved people and enjoyed doing good things for her family, friends and strangers alike.

She is survived by son Michael Lumberg; granddaughter Kayla Tobin, San Rafael, Calif.; brother Jack Fitzgerald (Rose), Grand Junction, Colo.; niece Rauna Sarno (Michael); great-grandniece Melissa Sarno, Fresno, Calif.; nephew Dale Fitzgerald, New Castle, Colo.; nephew Randy Fitzgerald (Kathy); great-grandniece Rebecca Fitzgerald; Great Grandnephew Bryan Fitzgerald, Glenwood Springs, Colo.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Joe and Alma Pitts; parents Viola and John Fitzgerald; nephew Alan Fitzgerald; great-grandnephew Shawn Sarno.
