Francis Joseph Phillips

Francis Joseph Phillips, a native of Colorado, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at E. Dene Moore Care Center in Rifle. He died from prostate cancer at the age of 67.

Francis was a heavy equipment operator who belonged to the Operation Engineer’s Union #9. He was avidly interested in trucks, enjoyed attending truck shows, restoring Tonka Trucks and toy heavy equipment, wood working and home improvement projects.

He was a Christian by faith and a member of the First Assembly of God in Rifle.



He is survived by his wife Wilma Phillips, his ex-wife, Judy Beierle, and his children, Kathy Runia, Tony Phillips, Laura Snyder, and his many grandchildren.

Funeral services to remember him will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the First Assembly of God Church in Rifle, with Pastor Joe Berry officiating.



Rifle Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
