Fred Bressler, a resident of Glenwood Springs, Redstone, and Steamboat Springs for over 27 years, died suddenly of a heart attack on May 15, 2010.

Born Oct. 4, 1944 in Grand Island, Nebraska, he spent his growing years in Eugene, Oregon, before graduating from University of Arizona and then serving in Vietnam.

He had done graduate work in Law and Oceanography and had worked at Big John’s for the last 12 years.

He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Neuroth of Phoenix, Arizona and Diane Foster of Alameda, CA.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is tentatively planned for June 26, 2010 on Chair Mountain. Details will be posted in the paper or you can call Carolyn 970-963-3649 or Dan 970-963-1117.

The family suggests memorial donations in Fred’s name go to “LIFT-UP” or a local charity of your choice in support of Veterans.
