Fred Miranda Duran

Fred Duran, 63, passed away Aug. 10, 2007, at is home in New Castle, with his wife and son by his side.He was born Feb. 20, 1944, in Los Angeles, to Ascencion and Trinidad Miranda Duran.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Guthrie Duran; sons Freddie and Jason E. Duran, both of California; daughter Yvonne E. Castano of California; brothers Jess M. Kent, Mario Lozano, and Rene L. Lozano, all of California; sisters Yolanda G. Mora, Debra M. Corral, Belvina Martinez, and Maureena T. Rojas Rossana Estrada, all of California; grandchildren Ernie Gonzalos, Bryan Dover, Nicole Duran, Elizabeth Castano and Elijah Duran; father; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his mother; and brothers Richard Duran and Michael Cruz.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at the First Baptist Church of New Castle, with Pastor Wes McGuirre and retired Pastor Dr. Charles M. Jones officiating.The family requests all memorial contributions be sent to Alpine Bank in Fred’s name, and all family and friends visit the Web site fredmirandaduran.last-memories.com.
