Fred Reynolds Naylor

Fred Reynolds Naylor of Silt died Jan. 7, 2003, in Silt. He was 68.Mr. Naylor was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Denver to Mrytle Tarr and Jay Fred Naylor. His mother died a month after his birth, and he was raised by his father and stepmother, Marie Benson Naylor.He served in the U.S. Navy for four years.He married Mary Alice Woodruff on May 27, 1961, in Fort Collins.Mr. Naylor lived in the area for the past 18 years and was the owner of F & M Appliance for 12 years.Mr. Naylor is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Naylor of Silt; by daughters and sons-in-law Denise and Kevin Beaber of Ordway, Berenice Naylor of Craig, and Janice and Scott Jarrett of Loveland; by a sister, Judy Naylor of Denver; and by grandchildren Jennifer Beaber, Stephen Beaber, Timothy Jarrett and Ashley Jarrett.A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs, with the Rev. Cliff McMillan officiating.Burial will follow at the Veterans Administration Cemetery in Grand Junction.Farnum Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
