She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed helping with the Christmas Bazaar and taking neighborhood children to Vacation Bible School. Her other interests were the Hospital Auxiliary, Senior Center and delivering Meals on Wheels. She lived at Crossroads Assisted Living for 3 years where she was active in her twilight years.

She wrote many oral history memories and stories of her family. Through the years she shared many ethnic traditions of her Germans-from-Russia heritage. Most of all, she enjoyed her children and their families who will long remember her loving smile, kindness and generosity.
