Fricke to petition for ballot spot

Post Independent Writer

Staff Report

Randy Fricke, a Democratic candidate for the 3rd Congressional District seat being vacated by Rep. Scott McInnis, announced Thursday that he is petitioning to be included on the primary ballot.

Fricke said because two other strong Democratic candidates are in the race, he wants to ensure that his name will appear on the primary ballot as well.

John Salazar and Grand Junction Mayor Jim Spehar are also running for the 3rd Congressional District seat, which represents western Colorado, the San Luis Valley and Pueblo County.

Fricke encouraged voters to contact him at 970-376-1982.
