Friday night lights returning to the valley soon
Selfies
The Post Independent most Wednesdays publishes a photo story featuring a single topic. Taken from the last name of the PI staff photographer/videographer Chelsea Self, these weekly stories will be called Selfies. The feature will include a page of photos in the paper and, online, a digital slideshow and video with each story at postindependent.com. If you have an idea for a topic, email Chelsea at cself@postindependent.com.
Football camps started last week for the local area high schools with practices ranging from one to four hours long. The season officially kicks off on Friday, Aug. 26, with multiple matchups including the Basalt Longhorns vs. the Rifle Bears at Basalt High School. The following Friday the Glenwood Springs Demons will host the Conifer Lobos at Stubler Memorial Field. For schedules and information concerning each local high school visit maxpreps.com.
